The new Clarion 7 splash screen

Clarion 7 splash screen

Is it just me or does this look really ugly? I know Clarion folk are not graphic designers, but first impressions do count. SV needs to go all Web 2.0 on that triangle’s ass - drop shadows, rounded edges (ok, maybe not for a triangle), fancy shading, decent colours. Oh ja, and the font. Typefaces are all the rage these days. It makes or breaks your Web 2.0 product I tell you.

One thing you can pick up from the splash screen is that the same IDE will run both Clarion 7 and Clarion.net. But we all knew that already hey?

One thing that springs to mind with the Splash screen is the positiioning of the words…

It’s probably just me… but Clarion 7 is on the top and Clarion.Net is at the bottom almost signifying superiority … nothing wrong with that!
